Joan Harrison is a local artist (.. and proud of the local part!) who has exhibited internationally. She is a Professor Emerita of Long Island University and taught art for many years at the Post Campus. She works in many different media from collage and photography, to textiles and clay, to painting and printmaking. She is a firm believer that sanity is kept through creativity.
