Informally trained at the Anne Frank Montessori School of Art from 1970-1972, collagist/creator Michael Rubinowitz has been making art for over five decades. Having moved his studio in March, 2022 to Sea Cliff, Long Island, he has been uniquely inspired by this quiet and friendly town. Michael currently splits his time between his apartment in West Chelsea and his studio in Sea Cliff.

He’d like to remind everyone that Art is Life and Art will save the world. Keep creating.

His 2021 piece “Veruschka by Rubartelli” has been on display at the Whitney since April, 2022.

All of the pieces in this exhibition were created in Sea Cliff, Long Island, between March, 2022 and July, 2023.

All of the pieces in this exhibition can be (and should be) touched!

“For Bobby” was done in Sea Cliff but is not in this exhibition. The 18” x 30” piece is currently hanging at FDNY Ladder 20 at 253 Lafayette Street in SoHo.  The firehouse protects what was once known as “Hell’s Hundred Acres.” It is also known as the “Soho Trucking Company.”
